PostIt Notes

I followed the instructions to make my postit note holder from:
www.odd-goddess.com/html/postitbks.htm - Elegant Post It Books. While this site is no longer up, I still want to give them credit. I did make some modifications for my holder.

I used cardstock for the entire holder, except for the chipboard for the base of the book.

Changes:

  1. Modified the size of the outside spine and outside covers. I made my outside spine 1 1/2" wide rather than 2 3/4" wide. So to each outside spine I had to add 5/8", thus making the outside covers 3 5/8" instead of 3" wide

    Cut What Size For
    2 Chipboard 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Base
    1 Cardstock 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" Outside Spine*
    1 Cardstock 1 1/2" x 3 7/16" Inside Spine
    2 Cardstock 3 5/8" x 4 1/2" Front Cover
    2 Cardstock 3 7/16" x 3 7/16" Inside Cover
    2 Cardstock 4" x 4" Pockets*

    *Notes:
Outside Spine: If you are going to crimp the outside spine, cut it first to roughly 1 1/2" x 6", crimp, and then cut to 4 1/2".

Pockets: Need to cut 3/4" off of one. This will be the right hand side pocket, which will hold the PostIt Notes.

  2. Second modification I made was instead of cutting the inside covers from chipboard, I cut them from cardstock. I made one up using chipboard and found it to be too thick for my tastes. Then the decorative covers for the inside I cut out of cardstock and made into pockets attached to the inside covers. One to hold the postit note pad and the other to hold small notes.

  3. Due to final size I also left off the ribbon for the pen holder.
